Spar and Correctional Services had an initiative called WALK FOR YOUTH ( A walk for 7 days) – they walked a total of 140KM starting from Jeffrey’s Bay and all the way to PE.

They were going around all the Spars within PE collecting donations for various charities, including my charity The Khayalethu Youth Centre.

When the walk started in Jeffrey’s I also took part and walked with them. If I didn’t have to work I would have definitely walked the whole 7 days.

I made some really good friends with all the prison wardens and we still keep in touch from time to time.
