Checking out prizes

This picture was taken at Tony’s appliances. They have supplied prizes for The Herald VW Cycle Tour. One Lucky entrant will win vouchers and appliances from the store.

I am also looking forward to the Cycle Tour as I have never been part of it before.

Although I cannot ride a bicycle to save my life...LOL, I will be there in full spirits supporting all the participants.

Hospital Visit

This was taken at St George’s Hospital at it’s trauma unit, in preparation for the Friendly City Marathon that is taking place on the 7th of February. The St George’s team will be there to assist should any of the participants experience problems during the race. The calls I received when this picture was in the paper were endless. Everyone was worried (obviously not having read the caption … LOL) asking me what happened, was I in an accident ( I was smiling in the picture – don’t think I would have been smiling if it was something serious :))

La Femme fashion shoot

This is one of the pictures that I took when I was doing a Truworths fashion spread for La Femme. I thoroughly enjoyed posing and dressing up for this shoot (which girl would refuse to wear gorgeous clothes, put on nice make up and pose for the camera). We took the pictures at Memphizz in Humewood. All the outfits were different styles, from formal to the casual. With the help of Danelle Bhana and Truworths they transformed me into a QUEEN - I really had fun doing this one.

A "belated" happy new year

Happy New Year and compliments of the season to everyone!!!
While everyone was rejoicing I reflected on the year that has been and was thinking that my reign is almost over.
2008 was the best year in my life so far, so much happened and I experienced a lot. Winning the title of Miss PE, being an ambassador of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, going overseas. WOW what a year!
Miss PE has meant so many things to me. Personal growth (more confident, I now know what I want in life and what I am capable of) business growth (time management - having to organise and balance work , family and social life). Building a network of contacts that I will always keep (and utilise ... LOL).
Miss PE has been a dream that I never saw coming!

Greenacres Shopping Centre held an auction that was organised by three interns who are also NMMU students.

The auction was called 27 Years of Excellence as Greenacres was celebrating their 27th Birthday in October.

The auction was well organised (big-ups to the girls – you guys rock!) and the proceeds where donated to charity.

There were amazing prizes that ranged from Continental tyres to Fischers watches, from spa vouchers to two night stays in a bed and breakfast.

A huge thank you to all the sponsors that took part, the auction was a huge a success.

The Greenacres Shopping Centre had a Fashion Show, which was also part of their 27th Birthday celebration, where local designers and our retail fashion houses were showcasing the latest fashion.

Among the models were prominent PE business men who also had the opportunity to strut their stuff on the catwalk.

They and Greenacres made a donation to the Khayalethu Youth Centre.

This was at the Uniglobe Bay Travel Birthday Party.

They were celebrating their fifth birthday party and lots of prizes were given away.

The shoppers had to fill in an entry form and every hour a winner was drawn.

Shoppers could not wait to fill in those form and there was also a kids drawing competition where this cute little girl won first prize.
